My latest journey was to a classic hot dog truck with a unique concept: The Dogfather.
The Dogfather is located at the corner of Holden Street and Shore Road in Worcester, Massachusetts- right across the street from The Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester and Bancroft Academy.
When I arrived, they were open for business.
The Dogfather is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 3PM.
The menu features Extreme Hot Dogs with a Godfather theme.
This guy got a Goodfella (left) and a Fredo.
Here’s a Wustah.
The mafioso theme even extends to the tip jar!
The truck runs the kitchen with propane and a generator.
Despite the “outlaw theme,” all permits are in order.
They were doing a brisk business this particular Saturday…
…partly due to the Dogfather‘s first annual charity chili dog eating contest.
I spent several hours at the Dogfather filming the event and sampling the fare. I even got some new decoration for my car.
