Hi Hot Dog Man,
Thanks for sharing your experience and passion for running a hot dog business. I am very serious about running my own Hot Dog Business and I know I will LOVE doing it. I live in MA, I am disabled and want to get off disability and earn my own living again!!!! I wish there were a Hot Dog University near by like the one in Chicago where you get a day of class room instruction on permits ect and a day running and cleaning a cart. Or….even a mentor would be invaluable. But……this site is the next best thing I guess. I will start with one of the books you recommended and get my ServeSafe license. Maybe then I can arrange a meeting with the BOH and have some smart questions.
Thanks again, Cindy
Hey there…sorry to reach u via post, but we wanted to say it was fun hanging out with u both in line this morning. Hope u didn’t get ur car towed! How ignorant was that? They were hooking up to the car next to us when Greg got to our car. They never even made an announcement inside the store to let people know they were towing. Ignorant. Anyway, we’ll let u know if we come across any good hot dog joints and if you ever come to Bangor, ME be sure to look us up! (: Take care, Kristin and Greg
Rob! I’m disappointed you didn’t go to Yank’s Franks in Wells, Maine. Too far north for you? Believe me, it would have been worth the trip a thousand times over. Their signature dog, the Yank’s Frank, is fantastic. Their fries, rings and Yank’s Franks Rootbeer are great also. Maybe next National Hot Dog Month, eh?
Tried to get there-it got too hectic. Mrs HDM plan a stop there in August when we hit Maine for a long weekend.
We made it there. Check it out.
Hi, I enjoyed the article in yesterdays Globe West. I love hot dogs, and want to know where the Zippity Do Dog is in Framinham. Is it a cart? Is it mobile, maybe it is not there all the time. Also, be interested in knowing where Archies on a roll in Marlboro is and Jeannies Weenies in Holliston. Thanks so much for the info.
Look at each individual post. Addresses are there. You can find them on the “List of Places we visited” page. Make sure you tell them “the Hotdogman sent me!”
Try this one…..great split dog with cheese and bacon, peppers and onions! Also great rings and fries! Worth the trip!

I go when I visit Harwichport every year!
You really should check out Ed’s Weenies in Littleton, MA. He’s located on the road to Groton, about 5 minutes off 495.
I will put it on my list! Thanks.
