Chili Dogs, a Hot Dog Stories Extra – National Hot Dog Month Day 29

Chili DogsEveryone remembers their first chili dogs, today marks that milestone for a young lady who likes Hotdogman Jr. quite a bit.

Let me explain: Today I just couldn’t get out for a hot dog. We attended the funeral of a friend of my 16-year-old daughters and I just couldn’t bring myself to go for a hot dog. It was a rough day.

Chili Dogs for Lunch

As they say in show biz, “the show must go on,” so I pulled out a little “extra” bit o business we did a few weeks ago at Robins Nest in Rochester, MA. My son’s girlfriend NEVER had chili dogs before, so Mrs HDM and I treated them to lunch. I always have a camera at a hot dog joint, so we shot a brief “Hot Dog Stories Extra” story that day. I always like to have a story at the ready for emergencies, and I broke the proverbial glass today.

I know it’s not up to par, but enjoy anyway!

I shoot Hot Dog Stories with a Kodak Zi8 camera with an Audio Technica ATR288W VHF Battery-Powered TwinMic Microphone System, a Flip Ultra HD camera, and a 60″tripod. I edit with Cyberlink PowerDirector 11 Ultimate. I will also take some stills with my new Canon EOS Rebel Camera.

About hotdogman

I enjoy traveling and eating hot dogs wherever I am. I like to sample the local variations of America's favorite encased meat and discovering the stories behind the hot dog, the vendor, and the regional preferences. I also write about How to Start a Hot Dog Business, The Hot Dog Truck, The Shark Tank, and I have a personal blog, RobMerlinodotCom
